The Brickton Weekly, October 17, 2014

Thank You Corner
The Middle School students would like to thank Janet Contursi and Diane Grassi for training them in CPR/First Aid.  We really appreciate your help to get CPR certified!
Fond Farewell
We will be wishing Molly Arnoldt a fond farewell as she takes a position with Lutheran Social Services working on the Advancement Team.  Molly followed her son and daughter to Brickton in 2004 when she became an Advocate for Montessori Education.  Her great affinity for Brickton will remain but she will be wearing her “parent volunteer hat” with her daughter Ellie in the Middle School Program.  Molly’s last day with us will be October 31st so plan to stop by and wish her well.

Trunker Treating

Brickton will celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 31st with a costume parade and Trunker Treating.  Once the children have completed the parade route through the school and the Red Mane offices, Trunker Treating will begin.  Participating parents will park their cars in the main parking lot with their car trunks open where they will have Halloween treats for the students.  Use the same consideration as for the classroom treats, especially by providing treats which do not contain nuts.  Expect about 120 TrunkerTreaters.  In case of rain, Trunker Treating will take place in the Great Room. If you choose to decorate your car, please do so prior to the parade. There is only a moment or two between theend of the parade through the Great Room to the beginning of Trunker Treating for the head of the line. If you are interested, please RSVP to Kelly at kelly.mcdermott@brickton.org or Sara in the office.
