The American Education Association has designated Dr. Seuss’
birthday, March 2, to celebrate Read Across America Day. TJ Bucaro, sitting in the lovely Dr. Seuss
rocking chair created by our own Dotty Schweitzer, exudes the great affection
that people of all ages have for Dr. Seuss.
When Brickton staff were asked to name a favorite book from childhood,
Dr. Seuss was the most popular author, because he is FUN! Only four of his 46
books are in prose while all his others rhyme with delightful wordplay. So pull
out your Dr. Seuss books and share the joy.
And remember, as Dr. Seuss tells us: "The more that you read, the
more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you'll go." And be sure to check out the rocking chair in
the silent auction at The Big Leap.
