Getting to Know You: Each week this section will highlight one staff member. This week we are pleased to introduce a new Brickton staff member.

Matt Bobek: Physical Education Teacher

We are pleased to announce the addition of Matt Bobek to our staff as the Physical Education teacher.  Matt will be working with students in Children's House through Middle School. Matt recently graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a minor in Health. He is a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and has experience coaching Girls Basketball at the High School level. Matt is also a vocalist and musician, playing the violin and upright bass in a string quartet with members of his family.  Please join us in welcoming Matt to our staff.

Family Movie Night

The Parent Alliance Presents...Brickton Montessori's Family Movie Night

Friday, January 17th, 2014, 6:00-8:00pm.

There are two movies to choose from according to age level:  Percy Jackson's Sea of Monsters AND Toy Story 3.  Bring your blankets and get ready for a night of FAMILY FUN!!  Popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase from the Middle School as a fundraiser.  Please RSVP to kelly.mcdermott@brickton.org so we can plan accordingly.

Pizza Lunch this Friday

Just a friendly reminder that Friday, January 10th is PIZZA LUNCH DAY!!  No need to pack a lunch if your child is signed up for pizza.

Little Free Library Feature-of-the-Month

Brickton's  Little Free Library current feature is Penguins:  Polar Heroes.

Just as Brickton families are surviving frigid and frosty conditions, our book display celebrates this amazing animal that thrives in howling blizzards and cruel conditions.  Soumil Sarmah returned to school in this "cool" sweatshirt that keeps him warm.
